Space Scene Design in Photoshop

Preview:

In this photoshop tutorial you will create a Space Scene.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file, I used a 590×590 pixels canvas set at 72dpi. Now grab the background image below for the starting point of our space scene.

Step 2:

In a new layer fill up the canvas with a black color shade. Then on the tools palette set the foreground color to white color shade and the background to #3D3D3D color shade. Now go to Filter > Render > Clouds.

Step 3:

With your cloud layer set the opacity level to 59%.

Step 4:

On the center make a circle marquee selection using the Elliptical Marquee Tool then go to Edit > Copy Merged. Now go back to Edit > Paste, a new layer with the circle design should pop up on your canvas.

Step 5:

Move the circle layer design up top. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Outer Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options. Now set the layer’s blending mode to Color Dodge.

Step 6:

Now add two smaller planet designs on the canvas.

Step 7:

Create a new layer. If you have small planet placed below/farther from the original, brush the bottom right end of the planet with a black color shade so only the top end of the planet is glowing.
