Artistic Tiles Text Effect in Photoshop

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 600×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with black color shade. Now create a new layer set and name it ‘Artistic Tiles’. Then select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Arial, 60 pt, strong and #C8BC00 color shade. In a new text layer type your website name.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Outer Glow and Inner Glow blending options to your yellow text layer.

Step 3:

In a new text layer type out your name in white color shade and position it as shown below.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your white text layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.

Step 5:

Set your foreground color to #8FAD15 color shade and background to black.

Now merge your ‘Artistic Tiles’ layer set through Edit > Merge Layer Set. Then duplicate the layer and apply a Pointillize effect through Filter > Pixelate, use the settings below.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow blending option to your pointillize text design Layer.

Step 7:

Add a marquee selection around your text design and copy merged the selection. Then paste what you copied and apply a Guassian blur through Filter > Blur.

Now set the layer’s blending mode to Hard Light and nudge the copy up by a couple of pixels.
